Buzz Off bandana for the dog

buzzoffbandana.jpg

My backyard is a jungle, so I use Frontline on my dog Zach to kill fleas and ticks. But I don't know what, if anything, it does to actually repel mosquitos and other biting insects. I still see mosquitos buzzing around him in the summer, and he's such a hypochondriac that whenever he gets bitten, my tough terrier takes to the couch or my bed for the rest of the day.

Buzz Off now makes a mosquito-repelling bandana for dogs (repels other biting insects too). This washable bandana comes in ocean blue, red and khaki, disguising itself as a casual fashion statement so your dog doesn't have to feel like a nerd.

Available at Orvis for $15.

Hmm...I dont know how much I would trust those things. It's like those horrid flea collars. Yes, they do contain flea repelent, but the amount of chemicals the dog is exposed to at one time is extremly dangerous. I work at a vet clinic and know that Frontline is the best flea and tick repellent. It's not 100% effective, but damn near close.
Just make sure to do it EVERY month and dont rub it in or bath the dog for 5 days.
