Illuminated bathroom sink

fancysink.jpg

I'm a sucker for mood-lighting, but I try to restrain my illumiphile tendencies for fear of provoking the ridicule of the good taste police. So, even if I loved that illuminated tabletop waterfall I saw at the gardening store, I would not get it for my house.

There's nothing tacky about this illuminated, cast resin sink made by Sander Products. We've seen colorful, light-up bathroom fixtures before, but I prefer the sleek aesthetics of this resin sink, which is lit from below and comes in thirteen standard colors as well as custom colors.

I'd buy it in turqoise and dream of the Caribbean Sea everytime I wash my hands. But I better be sure I'll still love it five years from now because, at a price of $1,195, it's definitely not a throw-away item.
