SONOS PLAY 3 Music System
SONOS_PLAY3_iPhone_black%5B1%5D.jpg

Play 3 by Sonos is the all-in-one wireless home music system that easily streams music into any (and every) room of the house from pretty much anywhere. Play 3 refers to the 3 state-of the-art digital amplifiers individually coupled with 3 speakers which kick butt (tech term.)

Easy breezy set-up plus you can control the music wirelessly using a free app for your iPad, iPhone or Android smartphone. And you can stream music services such as Pandora, Rhapsody, Spotify, Sirius, as well as your home music library, iTunes, etc.

It's compact, versatile - the speakers work horizontally or vertically -- and a good price for the audio quality ($299.) Anyone would be happy to find this under their tree!

Available at Target.

iSAFE BAGS
isafe.jpg

Here's another personal security gizmo, aimed at giving you some peace of mind. It's basically an alarm built into backpacks, laptop bags and fanny packs (we assume they call them "waist bags," because fanny packs are such a fashion faux pas.)

It's very simple to operate - you pull a pin - and weighs less than 1 lb with batteries installed. The hidden alram sends off a shriek which hopefully will send the attacker running or summon help.

Handy for joggers, travelers and a great gift for an active Grandparent.

$39.99 at iSafe Bags.

Now You Can Buy What You REALLY Want

Christmas morning is now a hazy memory; you've returned the peppermint-striped sweater Grandma got you, and now it's time to take that holiday cash and buy yourself a little present.
Tons of after-Christmas sales abound, and most of the best deals can be found online. Check out a few of the prezzies we picked out for you.

iphone-ID-case.jpg
iPhone 4 ID Credit Card Cases

Sometimes you don't want to carry all your stuff, so this iPhone 4 case is ideal since it features a slim slot for a credit card and ID. It's stylish and only 2.5 mm thicker than the low profile iPhone 4 "Barely There" case. And yes, you can fit it in your jeans pocket. $34.99 at Case-Mate.

jack-black-soap.jpg
Face Time

We expect all our gadgets to multi-task so why not our soap? The new Jack Black Clean Formula Face Bar & Shave Soap is a 2-in-1 product: a facial cleansing bar but also a luxuriously lathering shave soap. It uses healing botanicals, vitamins and certified organic ingredients, without any parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance or colorants, so even the most finicky of men will feel manly while lathering. (My husband likes the peppermint extract which is slightly astringent and helps control oiliness.) This overachieving face bar gently cleans skin so no lotion is necessary. $14.00 for 5.3 oz. bar at Get Jack Black .

Your "Starter" Headset : EASYGO

Not exactly an early adopter? The bright folks at Jabra, who just brought you the voice-command Jabra Stone 2, also have a beginners model, the aptly named EASY GO, with basic functions and easy setup. Up to 6 hours talk time and up to 8 days standby time, at a no-nonsense price of $39.99.

simdogs-tees.jpg
Simdog

We like this stylish line of high end tanks and tees in soft burn-out fabrics for its rock 'n roll designs and fashion-forward styles. Founded in 2004 by graphic artist Amanda Simonian, Simdog is only available at a few stores but has a rabid celeb following. (Celeb fans include Ke$ha, Kristen Stewart, Mel B, Selena Gomez, and Victoria Justice as well as Ashley Greene.) The name comes from designer Amanda Simonian’s brother, whose nickname was Simdog. After he tragically passed away in a car accident, Amanda started the company in his name and all proceeds go to support his charity. We're pre-tested the tees for you and the quality is great – no shrinkage or fading. Practice my favorite shopping trick "One for them, one for me" go to Shop Rumor. Around $60.

Another Moleskine is here for your new year!

Planners2011_235_05-thumb-235x165-10776.jpg

The search for the perfect planner never ends, does it? At the moment I'm pretty happy with my Moleskine pocket model in the weekly format. It's small and light and very portable. There's a week's worth of events and appointments on the left, and a right-hand page of lined note paper, perfect for ToDos, reminders, and other urgent thoughts.

But the New Year approacheth, and if you haven't yet found your 2011 perfect planner, maybe Moleskine's latest is for you--or someone you'd like to keep organized. It's the Extra Small Planner, the teeny-tiniest of the Moleskine line, just released in both monthly and weekly formats. It's a petite 2 1/2 x 4, about cell-phone size, which makes it very portable indeed, but I think you'll need small handwriting.

A big plus is that it comes in 5 other colors besides the classic Moleskine black. A petite price, too; JenniBick Bookbinding has it for just $8.96. Personalization also possible, but of course a bit extra. I linked to the pink daily planner, but Jenni stocks all the other colors too, in both daily and weekly formats.

Holiday Gift List Challenge- Win a $100 Gift Card from American Express!

amexgiftlist.jpg
What kind of gifter are you? I just took this American Express quiz which says I'm a "creative" gifter. I think this is accurate if that means I think about gifts for ages, dog-ear catalogs and magazines, ask questions all year, and then hurriedly try to get the gifts starting on about, oh December 21st, when I have to pay as much for express shipping as I do for the gifts. American Express has developed a "shopping personality program" to help people like me (and like most people, I think) who have shopping personality disorder. American Express would like to help people shop smarter, and better manage their gift budgets. American Express has challenged me to be the best "creative gifter" I can be, and so with 150,000 American Express Gold membership points. I am going to try and get the perfect gifts for my sister, husband, niece, nephew, and son. My challenge, obviously, will be learning to be creative while getting really nice gifts for a lot of people. This is my problem- I tend to overspend for one or two people and end up short-changing others because I haven't thought about my budget. This year will be different.

Over the next few days, I'll be spending time on the Membership Rewards site, as well as on ShopAmex.com to look for my perfect gifts. ShopAmex lets you combine membership points with your American Express card for more shopping choices. I'll be writing more posts about my shopping progress, and updating you on the gifts I find.

And the best part about the Holiday Gift List Challenge?
