Beginning on November 15th, the watch and accessories company Nixon will launch, for the second year in a row, a limited collection of watches made out of the leather of celebrity jackets, pants, and guitar straps, with the proceeds to benefit the MusiCares MAP Fund.

The collection will be available in 15 selected stores worldwide and will be sold only for a month. On the 15th of November, the collection's site (click on LTD COLLECTION 2005 to launch it) will also display the stores where the watches will be available, or so I assume since, right now, under the watch locator menu you will find only a countdown.

This year’s collection will feature recycled-rock leather from Ozzy Osbourne, Jeff Buckley, Anthony Kieds, Dave Navarro, Slash, Chris Cornell, Kirk Hammett, and also Danny Way and Tony Hawk, to name a few. The band of each watch will show the name of the celebrity who donated the leather and a unique number hand etched on it.

I wasn’t able to find any pictures of this year’s styles -- gto, duke, rocker, dictator, duchess – on their site yet. I assume they will also be available only on the 15th.
