Interview of Popgadget's Camilla Beltrami in Bright magazine

Forget the old image of the tech-obsessed geek. Dutch magazine, Bright, in an article for which our own Camilla Beltrami was interviewed (and the covergirl!), describes a new breed of tech-savvy personalities making their mark, members of an elite group the magazine calls the "Bright Bunch." Who are these people? In rough translation: "You can easily pick them out. They have that sparkle in their eyes. Full of something. Driven. Optimistic. Open-minded, attracted to the new. Ambitious but playful. Children of the digital revolution who know their way around the network. They use the tools of these times to create something.
Of course, Camilla took the opportunity to plug Popgadget and to talk about technology as a lifestyle. She also mentioned her escapist game-playing, all the while denying that it's an obsession. "A girl with pigtails playing Diablo 2 for hours on end, not many people understand that. No, I am not addicted to games, but I am to chocolate. Games help me deal with my frustrations, which comes in handy when everything turns against you."
Like several others on our team, Camilla graduated from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, and now writes for Popgadget from Amsterdam. I've been remiss in not posting about this article sooner, but if you read Dutch, you can still check out the full article on Bright's website.

Congratulations, Camilla! While the mainstreaming/co-opting of technology-centered lifestyle can be annoying sometimes, it still warms my heart to see this kind of coverage. "Bright bunch" - I think I'll start using that phrase.

Camilla you're not alone, I played Diablo2 non stop for months. My husband noted that on a day off from work I clocked a 17 hour sitting! Keep on playing!
