Mr Wax's luminous dreams

More goodies from the Salone del Mobile in Milan:

Mr Wax's luminous dreams, by Progetto 25 zero 1, are pendant lamps that change style, from minimal to baroque, from opaque to transparent. The style is revealed slowly over the course of the day. You can choose between different styles or have one designed according to your taste.

The designers were also showing a lamp for bedside tables called Elica. To turn it on, just blow over it. Blow again to turn it off. One of the designers explained me that the idea behind the lamp was that "when you need some light in the middle of the night, the last thing you need is to look for the switch."

I wonder if these lamps are one-time use only? Do they reverse after changing from one style to another? I've been to their site and have not been able to find an answer to that..

I like the blowing to turn it on/off idea, though it'd most likely take me a while to get used to blowing on a light.
