Will the Airmouse soon replace the regular computer mouse?

Even the most advanced mice often feel a bit clunky, so we're not surprised that researchers have been working on a much more intuitive experience designed so that you can move around the screen with ease.
The Airmouse is almost like a glove that generates movements from the user's elbow, not only does this mean it's comfier and easier to use, but there's less chance you'll develop more serious repetitive strain injuries over time too.
Check out the Deanmark Airmouse video on YouTube for an in depth explanation of the gadget, its unique technology and why the creators are so keen to create a more intuitive kind of mouse for our tired hands.

Zip-it-up

For all of us who fight tangled earphone wires, XSories has come up with a simple, yet clever solution. Using the basic zipper concept, you just zip up to store, and unzip to use.
Easy? Yes. Genius? We think so.

Speaker Beach Bag
It sounds like a great concept - in theory. Take a plastic beach bag, add a stereo speaker and a compartment with a 3.5m plug-in so you can play your music at the beach. (Works with any device with a standard 3.5m jack plug.)
But the plastic is cheap-feeling and even less fun when it heats up in the sun. Since it's see-through, your stuff looks messy in no time. The sound is decent, but that's about it.
We tried to pawn it off...uh, give it away to some teens but they gave us the "are you kidding ?" stare we're all too familiar with.
Xsories makes some cool products, but this isn't one of them. $29.99.

Father's Day Gift - Military Grade

Urban myth or real life? A military helicopter is brought down by missile fire and after the pilot and passengers escape, the only thing salvageable inside is a plastic storage case.
An explosive device detonates under an armored vehicle in Pakistan, ripping apart the engine compartment, and a U.S. Army combat engineer is able to walk away because of the plastic case that sat beneath his feet.
These are just some of the many stories surrounding the near-legendary Pelican cases, which protect everything from a iPod to Military equipment the size of a large room.
While we don't own any canons that need protecting, we love the iPad cases, which are like putting armor on our precious electronic.
For instance, the Pelican i1075 case is crush proof , water resistant, dust proof everything-proof, with an integrated easel for hands-free viewing transforming the case into a personal portable office. Its accessory storage feature allows users to keep all headphones, charging cables, etc. organized.
Perfect for Dad on those golf trips, like the one where he accidentally drove the golf cart into the pond.
Approx. $65 at Pelican.

The IdoStand is a case and stand in one

We love multi-functional accessories here at Popgadget, like The Rechargeable iPhone Speaker Amplifier Case last month. Wow that was one clever case.
However, sometimes clever cases are a little too bulky, which is why we like the IdoStand concept from Allan Ospina. At first glance it's a basic phone case, but it also has two super simple arms at either side, so can be used as a useful stand too from every angle. The best thing about the IdoStand is it's really slim, as well as being a grade A multi-tasker.
The IdoStand case isn't available to buy quite yet, but it will be featured as a project on Kickstarted on May 22nd, so watch this space.

iPhone glasses for your inner geek

Don't worry, you haven't paid hundreds of dollars for a gadget with bad eyesight, these glasses are solely for keeping your iPhone upright when you're watching a video or taking a super vain self portrait.
The little suction cups ensure the stand stays in place and you can choose from a selection of different colours, geeky but genius!
Available from Gizmine for $39.99, which is a little pricey for a simple stand, but great for a quirky gift.

The DockTRAY: Another eco-friendly dock for your iPhone

We loved the simple design of the iBamboo speaker last week because it's such a basic concept, but made of completely natural materials. The dockTRAY, designed by YoungGun Cho is a similar concept, but it's all about charging your iPhone (or iPod) and keeping your stationary organised instead of amplifying music around the room.

Clever USB safety pin means you'll never forget it

We love USB sticks that are designed to ensure we'll NEVER misplace them, remember the LOOPO that could attach to pretty much everything? Well the Bulavkus concept design may not be as multi-talented, but the fact it's attached to a safety pin means you can use it as a stylish broach/pin/fancy thing and never be left without your important documents.
