SkyLight device hooks smart phones up to microscopes

SkyLight is a new device, which connects smart phones up to microscopes.
This is an amazing idea because it means that some microscopes can be instantly upgraded once they've got a modern smart phone attached to them, allowing the user to capture and transmit detailed images. It also breathes new life into educational settings, giving students the chance to view resulting images and videos and share them with other classrooms or social networks.
The project has a conscience too, as every time five of the SkyLights are sold, one is donated to a global health or educational initiative. The team behind the device also has big plans for the future and wants to use the technology that's been developed to help connect doctors and patients who are living in remote locations.
