Things to do with a Rubik's Cube

Rubiks.bmp

Three things to do with a Rubik's Cube:

1) Drive yourself crazy.

2) Enter the Rubik's Cube Championship in Bangkok, Thailand and land the world record by solving the cube in time of 8.65 seconds.

3) Create a mosaic of Today Show hosts, Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

If you answered "Yes" to all three, you win (absolutely nothing.) The Rubik mosaic was assembled by 30 students from New York City Parks & Recreation Afterschool program with the template designed by an artist who calls himself "Pixel Pete" aka Pete Fecteau from San Francisco.

The mosaic, which took about 3 hours to build (yep, all those Cubes had to be solved to match the template), stands nearly 5.5 feet wide and 3.5 feet tall.

The new "You CAN do the Cube " program is said to help students with critical thinking skills and boosting self-confidence.

What does it say about me that I usually end up throwing the cube at the wall in frustration? Never mind.
