Palladium: New Metal Discovery?

It looks like platinum, sparkles like platium but it's lighter, and more affordable? That's Palladium metal, which was actually discovered in 1803, is now making a big play for the luxury jewely market. While it has the aesthetic appeal of platinum, it's affordable, compared to platinum or gold. (As of last week, gold is was trading at a higher cost than platinum.)
Part of the platinum group of metal, palladium is one of four precious metals. It is silvery white in color, but of higher quality than silver. Palladium is rarer than gold and its color won’t tarnish over time. Palladium metal is being used by many top jewelry designers including Simon G, Todd Reed, Martin Flyer, Sorella and more.
Unlike with other metals, large and bolder pieces are comfortable to wear for hours since the metal is so lightweight.
The ad campaign certainly got our attention with spokespeople like Kelly Osborne declaring they are “So Over heavy metal." For more info, check out Luxury Palladium.
