India launches world's cheapest tablet dubbed the 'anti-ipad'
A tech company based in the UK has teamed up with the Indian government to build a 7-inch tablet which will cost only $35.
The device which many have dubbed the 'anti-ipad' is actually called the Aakash (which is Hindi for sky). The government believes it will massively benefit the Indian population and could well boost educational resources and address the country's illiteracy problems.
However. initial reports suggest that although the tablet can carry out many basic functions, more work needs to be done to its word processing application.
