With all the noise surrounding every club/resturant opening in LA, it takes something special to stand-out. Which brings us to yesterday's public debut of Mercato di Vetro, the Italian restaurant, bar, and retail shop.
We received this video in the mail, as our invite: Take a look and tell us you don't want to immediately 1) Jump a plane to Rome or 2) Try out the new restaurant, or at the very least buy some Italian goodies.
Inspired by "An Italian Affair" the black and white film feels very Italian, but was actually shot in LA. Watch it here.
Part of the huge SBE company, which includes the most trendy and popular clubs in LA, they're using sbe corporate chef Danny Elmaleh for Mercato's menu which is simply divided into "Antipasti Bar," "Salads," "Wood Oven," "Meat," "Fish," "Raw," and "Pasta."
Open today in WeHo. We only can hope it lives up to the video.
