Q&A site Quora gets a new iPhone app

Quora is a quirky platform that launched last year, which basically allows users to ask and answer all kinds of questions. You can follow subjects, people or even questions if you're interested in finding out the answers yourself. Think of it as a handy forum or even Yahoo Answers which is full of good stuff, not spam!

The web version of Quora has been doing fairly well, but it's expected to take off in a much bigger way now it's been turned into a slick iOS app.

All of the contents of the website has been made mobile friendly and there are even some added features that wouldn't have been possible in the online version, like nearby questions and push notifications.

We've had a play around with the app and so far we've been really impressed, it makes Quora even easier to use and understand when it's broken down into 'home', 'notifications', 'search', 'nearby' and 'profile' all on your mobile.

A lot of the discussions are dominated by tech and media types, but have a look around and you'll find all kinds of questions, about gadgets, TV shows and even cooking tips.
