Revolights add a glow to your wheels
When cyclists want to be safer and more visible on the roads, they often opt for a luminous yellow jacket designed to reflect the light of oncoming vehicles no matter what time of day they happen to be out and about.
Revolights is an innovative bike lighting solution which adds two LED rings to wheel rims using a series of specially designed clips. The lights are interestingly charged by a polymer lithium-ion battery which can be charged up during the day via USB (nice touch!).
The project isn't just about adding cool flashing lights to your bike, it's focused on making sure cyclists are as safe as possible on the roads so they're visible to all road users. The Revolights also illuminate the path a few feet in front of the cyclist too, decreasing the chance of accidents, particularly in bad weather.
Although the Revolights are being made in small quantities at the moment, the brains behind them need more funding to really get the idea off the ground and are looking for pledges and interested investors on Kickstarter right now!
