Philips launches the USB toothbrush

phillips-toothbrush.jpg

Home electrical manufacturer Philips has launched a new toothbrush device dubbed "the iPod of toothbrushes" which charges via a USB port. The toothbrush comes in a robust, pod-like travel case and can be plugged directly into a computer or into another adaptor, which means it can charge at the mains if another device isn't around in the same way as Apple chargers work.

The new toothbrush is set to retail at around 250 GBP ($400 USD) and would be ideal for those that need to travel for business and have their laptops with them 24/7. More and more technology companies are realizing just how useful it is to be able to charge practically any device via USB rather than having to depend on a mains socket.
