i Roll rolling phone concept

There have been several 'rolling phone' concepts designed over the past year, which suggests the space saving design could soon become a reality. The latest offering from Indian designer Sudhanwa Chavan is called the i Roll (how imaginative) and features a retractable OLED touchscreen that would be able to display everything you can see on a usual mobile phone.

According to Ubergizmo, the prototype also doubles up as a drive with USB connectivity and changes color. Only time will tell whether this is finally the rolling device which will prove a success, but either way it does seem as if it'd be very practical and doesn't look as ridiculous as previous prototypes.
