Heat sensitive table

When I was younger my friends and I all used to be obsessed with 'mood rings', that changed color when you warmed them up, but obviously we were convinced this meant we were in fact 'happy', 'curious' or feeling 'adventurous' according to the little swatch card they came with.

This table from designer Simone Savini is a similar concept. The 'Touch' table is covered in a heat sensitive coating which gradually fades away from black to white leaving a trace of the last person who touched it. However, the marks are obviously only temporary, leaving behind a clean, white table afterwards. It's certainly a talking piece during your next dinner party!
