Concept watch helps visually impaired tell time
This sleek watch from Jacob Rynkiewicz has been specially designed for the visually impaired, as you can tell the time just by touching it.
The tactile watch, which has a flexible rubber strap without a clasp making it very easy to take on and off, has a series of raised bumps around the edge of the face which indicate hours. So, in order to tell the time the wearer would just have to feel the raised circles in the middle, one which represents hours and another which represents minutes, to see whereabouts on the outer circumference they are.
This is a great idea for people who are visually impaired and although only a concept, it seems to work because it has both simplicity and functionality at the core of its design.
