3D scanner finds you the perfect jeans

A scanner is being used in UK stores which quickly and efficiently creates a 3D image of a shopper's body.
The scanner uses up to 16 cameras to take around 29 different measurements, which are then used to pick out the elusive "perfect pair" of jeans.
The machine itself would obviously have to be pretty big to accommodate a person, but at 3 metres by 1.5 metres I can imagine it takes up a lot of the store! However, it's a very good idea and could certainly work to minimise the amount of time it takes to shop, as well as the stress of not finding anything to fit quite right.
