Would you donate to a robot?

This is DON-8r (apparently pronounced donator), a cute little fundraising robot designed so that once someone has dropped a coin into the special slot on it's head, it'll keep moving on.

Created by Tim Pryde, the device is already being used in Scotland and will soon be offered to companies so that they can rebrand the DON-8r to suit their needs.

There's still clearly some work to be done, the "hello... hello... hello" greeting is a little annoying and what if someone just picks it up and runs off with all the money inside? However, it's still a very interesting concept and I can imagine some people being more inclined to donate to a robot than a human.
