MyFarm turns Farmville into a reality
If you're a fan of the annoying yet highly addictive game Farmville then you're not alone, according to Fast Company the game that turns anyone into a farmer now has a huge 62 million users.
But how many of those actively playing the game on a daily basis would fare well in a real farming environment?
MyFarm is a real world experiment that provides around 10,000 online farm lovers with the opportunity to control what happens on a real farm.
For $48 players will be able to decide a range of things, from which crops to grow, which machiner to buy and which types of livestock to feed. The actual farm stretches over 2,500 acres throughout Cambridgeshire in the UK where a farm manager will set some restrictions - so you can't just send all the livestock away and turn the site into a shopping complex.
There are no definite numbers about how many people have signed up yet, but organisers are reportedly very happy with the uptake so far.
