Grand Designs Live: Philips' Light My Home
Last week I went along to the Grand Designs Live event in London, which showcases some of the most innovative ideas for your home and garden with more than 500 exhibitors from Europe and even further afield. I'll be writing about some of the great gadgets and appliances I saw at the event over the next few days, but I wanted to start by showing you some of the products I saw at the Philips' Light My Home exhibition.
Arguably not the most exciting or ground-breaking of all the exhibitions, I do really like Philips' simple design and unique products. The exhibition was made all the more special and realistic as the brand had constructed an actual house in order to properly showcase its products! This made it much easier to see how the actual devices would work in a room alongside actual walls and furniture.
However, one of my favourite products was actually in the little garden in front of the house.
The Ecomoods post is basically an outdoor energy saving post with a very bright, but ambient white light attached underneath. I loved how discrete and natural the post looked among the plants and wood decking in the garden and apparently it can save you a huge 80% off your energy bill too.
Available from Amazon (UK) for £61.44 GBP.
I've read about the LivingColors LED Mini Light before on countless tech and design websites but I've never had the chance to see one up close. So imagine how excited I was when I saw there were loads dotted about all over the Light My Home exhibition!
I love that you can select from more than 200 colours using the color wheel on the back of the device and the light it emits is so pretty and calming.
Available from Amazon for $100.53 USD.
Finally, I loved these wall light displays that lined the hallways, made from lots of little Philips LED wall lamps.
