Could your voice charge your cell phone?
Future developments in the way we use energy and transfer it to our gadgets means that screaming at your phone when it's run out of battery might not be such a crazy idea after all!
Researchers at the Institute of Nanotechnology at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul have been exploring the uses of "scavenged energy", which means the energy that can be found in everyday life.
According to Crave, this energy can be used in a variety of ways by using strands of zinc oxide between electrodes, the sound energy can then be turned into an electrical current that can go on to power devices.
Although still in the early research stages, this would really revolutionise the way we use our cell phones. However, if more noise equals more energy does that mean people will have even more excuse to shout really loudly down their cell phones when they're on a call?
