Promise Keeper app will hold you to your fitness regime

You've probably seen updates in your Facebook or Twitter feeds from friends who've been using apps from the likes of Nike Plus and Runkeeper in order to keep track of the distances they've run.

Whether it's to just store this information, show off a little or act as an incentive to go that extra mile tomorrow, as summer approaches more and more of my friends and contacts seem to be using their mobile devices to get fit.

So, it's interesting to see that Reebok has recently launched a new app called Promise Keeper which instead tells your friends when you plan on taking a run and then tells them whether you've gone through with it or not. It's a good way of promoting the new Reebok ZigTech running shoes and although it seems a little like you're being peer pressure into exercise, it could certainly prove to be pretty useful and motivational at the same time.
