Atari launches classic games to iTunes

atari-classics.jpg

If you're a fan of "old school" gaming then you'll be happy to learn that Atari has just released a package of classic favourites to iTunes.

According to Crenk there are 17 classic Atari games and 92 Atari 2600 available as part of the package which users can now download to their iPhone, iPad or iPhone devices.

A few of the games (like Pong!) come free with the initial download of the app but then users need to spend a little extra to get more, around $0.99 for separate packs of 25 or $14.99 for the whole lot.

The app itself is very easy to use and allows users to scroll through all the original arcade cabinets for each game, which I'm sure will make avid gamers feel a little nostalgic!
