BlackBerry reveals PlayBook details
It will include a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 7" LCD touch screen and BlackBerry tablet OS - an entirely new operating system created especially for the PlayBook. It also has cameras capable of recording 1080p and a range of functions for gaming and mapping, such as GPS, Gyroscope and a Digital Compass.
The PlayBook will be arriving in the US and Canada on April 19 and will be available internationally sometime between April and early June. The 16GB model will be $499, the 32Gb model will be $599 and the 64GB model will be $699.
The tablet device certainly sounds impressive and international media are already speculating that it may beat the iPad 2 in many areas if both devices were compared side-by-side. However, until they're both released to the public that remains to be seen, plus we're big Apple fans here at PopGadget!
