Like most people who are even the slightest bit environmentally-conscious, I have a number of canvas bags to use when I go out . (In theory that is. In practice I never seem to have any with me when a spontaneous shopping urge hits). In fact, I may even have too many bags, and at least a couple are looking a little worn. But throwing them away would defeat their purpose, so what should I do?

One option would be to get inspired by this picture from NotCot and make my own cushions. I've confessed before that crafts are not my strong suit, but this project looks simple enough even for me (stuff pillows into the bags and you're done) and appeals to my desire for offbeat and unique decor. I might take it a step further and cut off the straps and sew up the ends..
