Flip Video Ultra HD
Welcome to the next generation of shooting video. Pure Digital, maker of the popular Flip Ultra Camcorder has just released the Flip Ultra HD. The compact cutie is designed for one thing and one thing only -- to take record awesome video on the fly with amazing playback quality. Best of all, it does it with relative ease and doesn't break your pocket while you're getting that all-important money shot.

The Ultra HD has a few major improvements over it's predecessor, the Flip Mino HD including a bigger screen(2.0 inches), better screen resolution (960 x 240 pixels), and HDMI so you can screen your latest masterpiece for friends and family on the TV without losing any of the visual quality. Wannabe cinematographers also get 120 mins of record time, double the amount of the Mino HD as well as double the memory with 8 GB of space. Unfortunately, there's no slot for a SD card so there's no way to increase the record time. The Ultra HD is also sporting that unimpressive 2x digital zoom, but let's face it, micro-camcorders are for spur-of-the-moment guerrilla-style shooting that will inevitably end up on YouTube.
Speaking of YouTube, when you're all done making your impromptu flick, simply pop out the built-in USB port, plug it into your computer and presto! You're now the proud owner of the next YouTube sensation. The Ultra HD also comes with rechargeable batteries, but since they take forever to charge, the folks at Pure Digital made it so you can pop in two AA batteries, so you can start making the next avant garde film masterpiece.

Priced at $199, the Flip Ultra HD isn't the cheapest micro-camcorder on the block, but with success of it's predecessors at providing great clips in such a small package, it's worth giving it a look.
