Swarovski D:light: D:lovely and D:vine
When you think of Swarovski crystals a few words may come to mind - luxe, gaudy, and expensive. Swarovski crystals have bejeweled everything from tacky art to toilets. But with the unveiling of its first watch collection at Beselword, the premier trade event for the watch and jewelry industries, you might want to add classy and clever to that word association list.

The D:light, one of the seven new watches from Swarovski, is definitely the risk-taker of the bunch. At first glance, it looks like another expensive bauble, drowning in crystal. But a touch of a button reveals a surprise -- a sequence of crystals light up giving you the current time. The feat is acccomplished using a
unique crystal setting techinquethat blends design, precision, and functionality into a gorgeous bracelet.
Speaking of bracelets, this watch is a great fashion accessory. Decked out in 171 Swarovski crystals, the watch is available in extra fine steel or gold plating and is a must have for discerning design mavens. And when it's not being used as a funky conversation starter, it also acts as a clock when placed on it's loading station.
The price for being ahead of the curve is a bit steep -- $1700 for the golden D:light and $1500 for its silver sister.
