Maiden-voyage aims to connect women travelers

The Guardian reports on a new service called Maiden-Voyage launched by Carolyn Pearson, which is aimed at connected women business travelers. Women set up a (free) secure online profile (and are all vetted by telephone to make sure no sneaky men sneak in!) and can then contact each other via the site to meet up on their travels "so that they can meet up in their free time rather than sitting alone in a soulless hotel room," says Carolyn.
This sounds like a nice sociable idea for the extrovert among us... but am I the only one who likes to spend some time alone at the end of a busy day (and considers room service in bed a treat rather than tragic)?
What do you think?

Nope you're not. I travel a lot on business both within Europe and the US and there is nothing better than coming out of a full day meeting, going back to your hotel, putting the TV on and having room service. A bit of a chill out and some "me" time.
I have thought about joining one of these connection sites before but my longing for some peace and quiet at the end of a busy day always wins out.
