Soon your Wii could teach you to knit (really)

wii11.jpg

There are a couple of reasons I was intererested in this story:
1. It's always great to hear about new and inventive applications for existing technologies; and
2. I'm not a good knitter. In fact, I'm mid-scarf, and have no idea what to do when this ball of wool runs out.

According to Crafty Crafty, there’s a new idea which might help me and all the other craft-challenged people out there. Called kniitiing (which has a few too many ‘i’s for me to feel comfortable with it), a Wii application has just been launched in beta which allows users to learn to knit using Wii controllers.

It follows the same principles as Dance Dance Revolution, except instead of learning killer moves you could get a great new scarf/hat/sweater from the deal.
