Get a cheap(er) iPhone in 2009

Didn't get an iPhone for Christmas? Don't despair. It's often better to wait until the new year to bag a bargain, especially in these credit crunchy times.

You have probably heard that Walmart is now selling iPhones at the bargain price of $197/$297 but Best Buy is going one better, selling refurbished 3G models for $149 for the 8GB version and $249 for the 16GB version - a $50 saving on Apple's pricing.

But wait! It gets better... according to Seth Weintraub on the Computer World blog, AT&T is selling refurbished 8GB iPhones for $99.

Run, don't walk - these deals are bound to be popular!
