PMS Buddy isn't at all offensive to women. Oh, wait...

pmsbuddy1.jpg

There are now quite a few web-based reminder services on offer, ranging from the useful (those that remind you it's your boss' birthday, for example) to the questionable (those sites that remind your loved ones that your period is imminent, for example).

PMS Buddy is a free online PMS reminder service whose tagline is "saving relationships - one month at a time!" Did you know the only thing that threatened relationships was your monthly visitor? Well, now you do.

Now, I'm not afraid to say that my hormones have been hit upside the head by the ravages of my cycle on more than one occasion, but there are all manner of things that shape a person's mood and to me this site is reductive and regressive in the extreme. So I can only echo the suggestion of Shiny Shiny's Susi, who suggests using the site to screw with people: "Enter any damn date you like. Make up bi-weekly periods. Claim some link between the moon, rain fall and your menstrual cycle."

No-one will ever want to mess with you again - maybe this service could be useful after all...

I saw this on some morning show and had the same reaction. Personally, I use a site called mon.thly.info which is actually helpful and informative...and in no way offensive.
