iYo Yo Yo charger makes for some seriously useful gaming

iYo-iphone-charger.jpg

Swedish designer Peter Thuvander has perhaps taken to heart the fact that solar devices are quite useless during the long, dark Swedish winters. And, as he admits, he was consequently propelled to invent the concept of the iYo YoYo charger for juicing up Apple devices (iPhone and iPod) even as you are only having fun with the yo-yo.

What actually happens within is, as the yo-yo bobs up-n-down during a game, a small Li-ion battery will build up charge via induction. Enough to bring a dead iPhone/iPod back to life as you recharge one through the iYo’s USB port. Pretty innovative idea which we sincerely hope will yo-yo its way into production. Not to mention that the iYo charger in itself looks extremely cute and handy as well.

Smorgasbord, anyone ?
