Look like a Miner - Handy headlamp for emergencies

People who know me know I am fanatical about our earthquake kit. Living in Southern California, you figure it's just a matter of time. We even have a generator so we can make everyone in our neghborhood a hot cuppa tea, which is the first thing I'm going to want if our house collapses. (Yes, there's brandy for medical emergencies.) I always imagine performing surgery with a penknife, like I'm some character on Grey's anatomy.
So when I saw this headlamp from Discount LED Lights and Knives , I knew I had to have it. Called the "LED Lenser LL1041 Revolution Triplex Headlamp," it boasts a "Revolution" dimming switch system, which apparently most headlamps don't have. I Iike that the beam is visible up to 2,000 yards, and that you get up to 48 hours of light from one set of batteries. 3 AAA batteries included. There's a hinged attachment to position beam and adjustable straps so it fits even on my petite head. I'm wearing it right now.
Of course you don't have to wait for an earthquake to use it. It's handy during electrical failures, for working in the attic, or when playing outside at night. Mine is going right beside the zip-locked batteries and the dried food.
$54.46 at Amazon.
