Just Incase - cases for iPhones and iPods

iPhone-inCase.jpg

Don't forget your loyal electronics this Christmas -- show them some love with a new coat. I expect my iPhone will be thrilled with this pink protective cover from Incase. The form-flattering construction allows access to all the controls and the dock connector (even a camera cutout) and the topographic pattern exterior helps prevent slippage. $29.95 in 6 colors: C,M,Y,K, slate and red.

Don't forget your iPod either - it might like the popular CMYK (stands for the 4 standard process colors) case for the new iPod nano 3G in quality leather or silicone rubber. (I have it in pink 'natch.) $24.95 for the neoprene sleeve and $29.95 for leather. With the iPod nano you have a choice of protective covers in 4 color ways that correspond with the nano colors: red, green, blue and black. Also available are cases in leather (blk) and neoprene (blk and pink.) For the iPod touch you've got your basic brightly colored C,M,Y,K choices.

In addition to cases for all the new iPods, Incase also makes cases for your MacBook and MacBook Pro, and even dub bags for guitars.

Select models available at Amazon.

Hello Kitty digital camera blushes

hello-kitty-camera.jpg

I don't know why this Hello Kitty digital camera blushes when the shutter button is pressed, though I suppose the user might blush if she's over the age of 10. Sanrio Co. just released this new camera with the famous kitty image, with 5-megapixel resolution and handshake correction. The lens is in the center of the red bow, with the strobe right next to it, and Hello Kitty's image comes up on the screen when the camera is activated.

Priced at 26,040 yen. No word yet on availability in the U.S.

Via Nikkei Net, by way of a tip from textually.org.

Giddy Up laptop bag and Holiday Sale at Pinder

giddyup-red.jpgpinder-giddyup.jpg

Pinder, one of my favorite laptop bag brands, has come out with a fatter model for those of us who tend to schlep a lot more than just a laptop. The Giddy Up is a good blend of function and style, which I appreciate after killing my back from carrying pretty but impractical bags. It's not too masculine-looking either (which is the problem I have with some of the backpack style laptop bags on the market). The Giddy Up comes in seven different color combinations.

I have a couple of the THIN line of Pinder bags, which also come in many different colors and are reasonably priced and very sturdy. The THIN model is now on sale for $39.95 until December 31st (down from $57.95).

Made of ballistic nylon exterior with faux leather trim, the Giddy Up has two main compartments, one for your laptop, and another for all your other junk (magazines, books, lunch, other devices, etc.). The zippers of the main compartments unzip all the way down both sides so that you don't have to struggle and scrape your hands to get things out. On the outside, there's an ergonomically designed throw-n-go pocket (i.e., it's easy to open and get things out of). Another nice design detail is the lighter interior color, which makes for easy viewing of contents. And if you want to be super organized (or want to give your laptop an extra layer of protection), you can insert a THIN bag into the Giddy Up.

Best of all, it's on sale for just $69.95 until December 31st (down from $125).
