The Edogawa Kyotei boat race course in Tokyo has devised a novel way to lighten up unlucky gamblers – the friendly Robot Goat is always at hand to feed on their ill-fated tickets.

Created with the intent to keep the facility litter-free, the robot is a replica of the Rocky Mountain goat with its lovely white fur, appealing black eyes, etc. Ticket-detecting sensors in its mouth help the beast to gulp down around 500 tickets everyday. Wait, that’s not all – the goat even has a keeper! Well, I'm wondering about the choice of animal species here, but who cares as long as the purpose is served.
