Portable dry ice maker

Hammacher Schlemmer has taken it upon themselves to do something about that extra cylinder of compressed liquid CO2 we all keep in our closets. Rather than keep it on hand in case of an emergency that only liquid CO2 could solve, let's all throw caution to the wind and make some dry ice with the . . . *drum roll* . . . Portable Dry Ice Maker ($500)!

Sure, it costs more than most of the appliances in our kitchens, but unless your blender or toaster can make a one-pound block of dry ice in 60 seconds, it's obviously worth it.
