Pink poll results, and Page Six of the New York Post

We asked Popgadget readers to complete this thought: "Pink is . . . " And here are the results:

Empowering: 6%
Feminine: 18%
Demeaning: 12%
Sexy: 10%
A fashion statement: 8%
Just a color: 39%
Other: 5% (which included: fun, infantilizing, too gendered, for babies, insipid, becoming incredibly ubiquitous, girlie, a color that wants to be red and fails miserably, a good colour but starting to get overdone and annoying)

Our poll followed an article in Page Six magazine of the New York Post a few weeks ago, in which our own Mia was asked to comment on pink gadgets -- and she took the pro side, while Heather Dale of Geeksugar argued against pink (which may or may not be contrary to expectations).

I don't think Mia knew that she and Heather would be flanking a big, pink photo of Paris Hilton.
