MUJI face mask make-up protector, and Soho opening

New York is finally getting its own stand-alone MUJI store. To mark the upcoming launch, here's something I found in the dressing room of a MUJI store on my last trip to Taiwan. The dressing rooms have these cloth bags that you put over head. The text on the sign explains that the bag helps keep your make-up intact as well as off their clothes.
While the sections in the two MOMA design stores have been open for years, I'm looking forward to getting access to the clothes, most of which don't make it to the U.S. I'll be curious to see what the pricing will be, because there's quite a markup in the current store-within-a-store we have in New York. I'm also hoping that they stock larger sizes, because in their Asian stores, I'm always asking if they have any larger sizes in back, which makes the people working the floor giggle. If the pricing and sizing stay the same, I may have to continue cramming my suitcases full of notebooks and XXXL shirts when I'm on the road.
The Soho store opens on November 16th, and a second store in the New York Times building is set to open in early 2008.

Haa. :)
Seems I'm not the only one buying all my notebooks from MUJI whenever I go to London. MUJI is the best store in the whole wide world :)
