Little black dress of cameras: Cybershot DSC-T2

Oh . . . this may be the iPhone of cameras. Keep up with me as I explain. This new powerful, stylish, Cybershot (a.k.a. the little black dress of cameras) isn't even on the market yet (available for shipping starting December 10). We're talking touch-screen technology (no what-are-those-for buttons!), 8-megapixels, 4GB of internal memory (that's up to 40,000 VGA-quality photos or 1,000 8-megapixels photos). Internal memory means no more media cards to mess with or keep track of.

The Album Feature
The camera also features an album folder, which makes it simple to organize and access your thousands of photos stored in the camera. Photos are organized chronologically and the very helpful calendar view provides you with easy access (you just gotta rely on you're own memory).

Straight-to-Web Feature
The ultra-cool PC-only feature is that the camera has a "sharemark" folder, where you can store your favorite photos and YouTube-ready videos. Upload them directly to your favorite popular-publish sites (Crackle, Flickr, Photobucket, Shutterfly, and YouTube) via Sony's PMB Portable software, a friendly application that runs when the device is connected to a compatible PC via the supplied USB cable.

Fashion-Friendly Feature

As I mentioned, this camera is the little black dress of cameras, but also has some stylish options, starting with its compact silver body, black LCD frame, and a sliding lens cover available in blue, green, pink, white or black. Color-coordinating fashionistas, the Sony LCS-TWE carrying case is also available in the same colors to match the camera.

Smile-Shutter Feature

But, forget everything else, the smartest feature is Sony’s own "smile shutter" function, which automatically detects and captures a person smiling without the need to press the shutter. So with face detection, optical image stabilization and high sensitivity (ISO 3200), this camera will record the best moments of your life, and its unique scrapbooking feature, will allow you to choose up to 16 colorful designs to view photos on the camera’s anti-reflective screen. Plus you can add up to eight different creative effects to your photos.

Special time-sensitive deal if you buy from Amazon: Receive a unique coupon code for a 12-month photo calendar (a $19.99 value) from Shutterfly when you purchase this product between November 1 and December 15, 2007.

Price: $349.95 at Amazon.
