Light emitting wallpaper

light-emitting-wallpaper.jpg

I am not a big fan of wallpapers. Actually, I pretty much hate them, though I wouldn’t think twice about this light emitting wallpaper by the Dutch designer Jonas Samson.

When turned off, the wallpaper is just like any other regular wallpaper, but once turned on, light patterns start appearing on it, turning the wall into a work of art and another source of light for your apartment. This would be a particularly good investment if, like me, you happen to live further up north on the hemisphere and are doomed to long dark winters. I can already imagine the soothing and cozy atmosphere created by the light patterns.

Unfortunately, there is no information on where you can purchase Samson's light emitting wallpaper on the designer’s site, though I believe the product is still in its infancy at the moment and probably just being presented at various exhibitions.
