Gold of the Gods - Olive Oil

Gold-of-Gods.jpg

In case you hadn't heard yet, bringing a bottle of wine as a hostess gift is soooo last year. (I don't care; I always bring a nice cabernet.) But here's a luxurious substitute -- extra virgin olive oil with 24k edible gold flecks. Easy Leaf Products the same company that makes the gold and silver edible products we just wrote about, has now launched a gorgeous olive oil.

Lynn S. Neuberg, who founded the company with her husband, told me, by way of explaining why it is so special:

It is special for two reasons…..primarily it is just a terrific tasting product. As I have learned, much like wine vineyards, olive oil companies tend to purchase olives from various vineyards, compile them, and then produce a product. With this particular vineyard, all is grown, harvested and pressed on one site. This makes for an extraordinary flavor. Pure and clean.

By one for yourself ($25) and one for a Christmas party.
