Dodgem bumper cars for kids

dodgem.jpg

I don't understand the appeal of bumper cars. Isn't driving with the intent to crash into another car sending the wrong message to children who eventually grow up and want to merge into your lane without signaling or checking their mirrors?

UK-based Maplin Electronics obviously doesn't think so, as a pair of their battery-powered Dodgem cars are currently on sale for £80. Normally priced at £50 apiece, the blue and red foam-bumpered cars are designed for children ages 2 to 6 (ah, the non-impressionable age) and can weave through all the rooms in your house at up to 2 miles per hour for 40 minutes on a single charge.

When those 2-year-olds get their driver's licenses in 2021, please remind me of the benefits of walking.

Handful of Sudoku fun: No pen or pencils needed

sudoku-cube.jpg

I was the kid who peeled off all the stickers on my Rubik's Cube just to make sure I could get everything perfect, so now that you know I'm sneaky let me introduce you to a great toy.

Serious Sudoku gamers, you'll love Sudoku Cube! While it features billions of combinations - there's actually only one solution. You can solve 18 different Sudoku puzzles simultaneously on the cube. There are six vertical across three sides (3 + 3 + 3), six horizontal across three sides and six regional - one on each side. Includes Sudoku cube and instruction booklet, solve and history of Sudoku. Also includes 50 new 2-D Sudoku puzzles. Measures 2.25" x 2.25" x 2.25".

This is a very wonderful "secret Santa" or "white elephant" game in the office, or perfect for a stocking stuffer for your sister in Sudoku challenges! No peeling the stickers off!

Price: $8.99 at Amazon.

Divine Caroline: where real women tell their stories

dvinecaroline.JPG

If you haven't yet discovered DivineCaroline.com, a place where women can write stories about anything that matters to them and connect with other women, you might be surprised at the wide range of interests that members are talking about. Categories include style, relationships, home & food, travel, and career & money, and you'll find stories, reviews, and forum discussions under these various topics. Browsing around today, I came across a tip on curing hangovers, guidelines on taking care of your skin in the winter and a story about a member's trip to Croatia.

Anyone can browse around, and when you’re ready to participate, it just takes a few seconds to register. Membership is free. Popgadget and Babygadget contribute content as members of DivineCaroline.com.
