ThermaClear zaps acne

thermaclear.jpg

Look out acne… ThermaClear is here!

ThermaClear is the latest and greatest in the expanding arsenal of breakout busters. Developed by a laser physicist, ThermaClear is similar to laser treatment devices used by dermatologists to treat acne. Using a proprietary technology, it delivers a controlled burst of heat directly to the pimple which neutralizes the core problem of the evil red spot: bacteria, preventing things from growing uglier. The heat therapy also speeds healing, making those nasty zits disappear faster.

The ThermaClear is a vast improvement over earlier, similar products like the Zeno. ThermaClear’s biggest advantage is the two-second-per-spot application time. Compare that to the Zeno’s 2 ½ minutes-per-spot, which seems like an eternity when holding it on your face. Both require replacement tips. ThermaClear wins here. Tips are much less expensive and have to be replaced much less often. ThermaClear powers up in much less time, too. The Zeno sports a rechargeable battery, which can be a plus, while the ThermaClear’s use of disposable batteries can be beneficial to frequent travelers. Zeno may have the advantage of design – it’s a bit sleeker and sexier and it does come with a nice case. ThermaClear, at $150, has the mid-range Zeno Pro beat on price. Finally, having used both devices, I have to give ThermaClear my vote. I love the faster speed and it seems to clear my breakouts faster than the Zeno. Either one beats the messiness of drying creams and lotions.

Available directly from ThermaClear’s website and Amazon,
