Watch what you wear

There's a trend afoot for modern watch wear. Digital facing, weather-telling, heart-rate sensing watches are all really wonderful. Still there's something about being able to see and study the live innards of old watches; greasy gears click and time magically changes.
Old watches don't last forever, and designer Nicole Rimedio of Inhabit Structures has found a wonderful use for their retired parts in her unique line of truly timeless jewelry.
You can find several of Rimedio's well-known pieces, including open-faced earrings and cuff-links, at Brooklyn-based 3R Living. Our favorite yet, is this pendant that features recycled watch parts and polished stones loosely encased in glass (2" across).
Price: $80 at 3rliving.com
*3R = Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. (We rejoice!)
