HopStop to keep from getting lost

hopstop.png

Plan your urban adventures without getting lost, or, if you're like me, just look like you know where you're going in your hometown.

I recently moved to New York, but you wouldn't know it the way I effortlessly navigate the insane gauntlet of the subway system without glancing at a map! Directionally challenged, I owe my entire knowledge of getting around in the city to HopStop.com.

HopStop is the must-know city transit guide, providing maps, door-to-door walking, subway, and bus directions, and time estimates for Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, DC, New York City, Long Island, and Metro North (including White Plains and CT).

With HopStop you can:
- Send directions by e-mail, text message, or voice to a cell phone directly from the website
- Plan a trip with multiple destinations using the itinerary function.
- Get directions or the locations of nearby subway and bus stops remotely on your cell phone or PDA with the HopStop Mobile service.

There are featured trips and user-submitted and user-rated trips to choose from, and for developers HopStop also offers an API, so that you can integrate its functionality into your own site. Services continue to expand to include more coverage, more user-submitted content, and most recently, transit ratings.

Why be lost when you can be there (on time!).
