Aurora Palette brings Northern Lights to you

Here's an interesting twist on mood lighting: the Aurora Palette by Banpresto. Designed to simulate nature's own awe-inspiring light show, the battery-powered device does its best to recreate the Aurora Borealis by projecting "atmospheric light" variations on walls, ceilings, and just about anything else that isn't the night sky.

With a run time of 20 hours and timer settings to control how long the resulting "mellow mood" is welcome in your home, the Aurora Palette is a steal at just $55.

See it in action here.
