Candy-colored Sony VAIO CR series laptops

Sony was the first company to break the color barrier with their C and later F series laptops in brilliant hues. Now they're at it again with the CR series, which takes the color right down to the touch pad, and you can even order the optional matching mouse and matching bag. Since I'm eyeing the silvery-pink one, that might be a little too much.

Don't mistake these for fashion accessories though -- the 5.5-pound thin-and-light laptops will include Intel's latest Centrino Duo platform, with Core 2 Duo processors, integrated graphics, and an 802.11n wireless card. The 14.1-inch wide-screen display includes a 1,280x800 native resolution, and the display bezel has room for a built-in Webcam and microphone.

They are available in five fashion-forward colors --sangria, cosmopolitan, dove, indigo and black (matte finish) starting at $1,369.
Hop on over to the Sony site and pre-order one since I expect there will be a run on them when they start shipping at the end of June.
