Charging your portable devices couldn’t get easier or faster than this. Say hello to ChargePod, a unique multiple device charger designed by a company named CallPod. This sleek monster can charge 6 of your small electronic devices at once, eliminating the mess caused by having multiple monolithic chargers around. Being an eliminate-clutter freak myself, the fact that I don’t have to struggle with all the muddled wires from numerous chargers gets me revved up with anticipation.

To get the ChargePod into action, all you have to do is plug the monster into a power source and connect up to 6 small devices operating in the 5-6V range (such as cellphones, headsets and MP3 players) to their appropriate adapters on the ChargePod. As soon as a device is connected to a port, a lovely blue indicator comes on, indicating that the device is being charged. In case you are wondering about the differential power requirements for each device, the ChargePod ensures safe charging by its internal voltage regulator mechanism. Depending on the device that you want to charge, you can buy device specific adapters (each costing $9.95).

Though it's quite disappointing that bigger devices such as laptops can't be charged at this point, the promised returns on an investment of $49.95 for the ChargePod quite outweigh this drawback. And I am looking forward to charging my iPod on the ChargePod from CallPod.
